MIA hosted “Quando la banda passò”, a sold-out Carnival celebration with a unique live music performance by Mafalda Minnozzi. Raised in the small town of San Severino Marche, Mafalda Minnozzi has become an internationally recognized charismatic multicultural singer and composer. She performed classic songs inspired by the Brazilian Carnival, accompanied by the samba and bossa nove rhythms of the Italian-American guitarist Paul Ricci, the Brazilian bass player Eduardo Belo, and the Brazilian percussionist Rogerio Boccato.
